Important Update: Why We Are Moving Towards RTI Drafting Only (and Not Filing)

Dear RTI Users,

At SatyaShakti Foundation, our mission has always been to make the RTI filing process simple, affordable, and accessible to every citizen. Over the years, we've helped thousands of applicants draft and file RTIs. But as government systems evolve, we too must adapt.

What's Changing?

  • We are moving towards drafting-only support via our AI chatbot, RTI Mitra.
  • Filing RTIs directly through our platform will gradually be phased out.
  • Our AI chatbot allows you to draft RTIs instantly and for free, while expert-assisted filing remains available for those who need full support.

Why This Change?

  • Government portals now support online RTI filing — but require OTP verification tied to the applicant's phone/email.
  • For privacy and compliance reasons, we cannot handle OTPs on your behalf.
  • What we can reliably provide is high-quality RTI drafts that you can file yourself on these portals.
  • This approach ensures your personal data stays private and secure, while still empowering you to use RTI effectively.

What RTI Mitra Can Do

  • Draft clear, legally sound RTI applications in minutes.
  • Handle queries in English, Hinglish, and regional languages.
  • Provide reusable drafts you can copy, edit, and file directly on government portals.
  • Stay free for citizens — supported by our mission to make RTI accessible to all.

Our Continued Support

  • We will continue supporting the filing of First Appeals and Second Appeals for users who receive unsatisfactory responses or face delays.
  • We will also provide step-by-step articles, guides, and other resources to help users file RTIs directly on government portals.
  • Our customer support team will remain available to assist anyone facing challenges while using the chatbot or filing RTIs themselves.

Options for You

  • Use RTI Mitra (Free Beta) to draft your RTIs instantly.
  • If you want full filing handled by experts (including postage, OTP, and logistics), our paid filing service is still available.
  • For appeals, our expert legal support remains in place.

What's Next?

  • We will continue improving RTI Mitra to handle more queries and make drafting even simpler.
  • A new guide page will explain exactly why we are making this shift, how to use dummy data safely, and how to file RTIs on government portals with your draft.

We appreciate your trust and support as we adapt to make RTI filing simpler, safer, and more citizen-driven.
