As per my earlier rti application no. 227333 and no. ********* i was called by regional passport office, trichy on 29/09/2016 and stated the following information. on scrutiny of passport no. ********** it was found that the passport no. m******** dated 1********** was reissued by the regional passport office, trichy in lieu of passport no. g7******** (which is my passport). a person misused my passport information and taken a new passport (no. m********* dated 19/08/2014). the person had replaced his photograph in place of mine. the name and the date of birth are the same as mine (as above). the regional passport office, trichy has to findout the whereabouts of the person holding passport no. m***********. then only my passport will be released to me. the trichy regional passport office has failed to findout his whereabouts as all the addresses provided by the person are found fake. i request you to approach the concerned government authority to speed up the process to find out the whereabouts of the person (whether in india or abroad) by tracing the passport no. m1242277 dated **************.

police verification has been done but still it is with sp office of respective area since 10 days. i am still waiting for its delivery. please advise the reason for the delay.
